Our Society is Moving Forward After Well-Received Meeting
The CCAS program at the 2012 SPA Tampa meeting was very well attended and, based on the evaluations, very well received. I want to thank everyone who took the time to make comments and suggestions on the session evaluation forms.
I assure you that the Co-Chairs for the March 2013 CCAS program in Las Vegas, Jumbo Williams and Wanda Miller-Hance, are already using these comments and suggestions to plan the program. Please feel free to contact them directly to share any thoughts you might have on how we can improve this educational offering.
We have a very important election coming up for four Board of Director positions. Following a call for nominations the Nominating Committee has created a slate of seven candidates whose profiles appear in this Newsletter. I encourage all of you to exercise your voting privilege, as the Board members elected will play an important role in guiding the evolution and maturation of CCAS.
Finally, if you are reading this, you have had an opportunity to see our new and improved web page replete with an ever-expanding collection of enduring educational material including syllabus material from our previous CCAS programs. Please feel free to share with our Newsletter editors, Courtney Hardy, Mark Twite, or Stuart Hall, any thoughts you might have on how to improve or expand these offerings. I know they would welcome any educational material that you are willing to submit.
