* Identify different types of factor concentrates and how they may be used in clinical practice.
* Describe alternatives to heparin for cardiopulmonary bypass.

At the end of this session, the participant will be able to:
* Discuss the anesthetic and critical care management of patients with TGA.
* Report the surgical approaches to TGA and the related outcome data.

At the end of this session, the participant will be able to:
* Evaluate new research findings pertinent to the practice of congenital cardiac anesthesia.

At the end of this session, the participant will be able to:
* Recognize the changing demographics of patients with CHD.
* Report on the improved outcomes of CHD.
* Demonstrate how congenital cardiac anesthesiologists can enhance the perioperative care of patients with CHD at all stages and ages.
* Identify some of the issues faced by adults with CHD including the patient's perspective of living with CHD.

At the end of this session, the participant will be able to:
* Describe the pathophysiology of acute high-altitude illnesses and their treatments.
* Illustrate how to best use neuro-monitoring to guide clinical practice.

At the end of this workshop, the participant will be able to:
* Demonstrate how the cardiopulmonary bypass machine works and be able to help trouble-shoot problems.
* Explain some of the different techniques of cardiopulmonary bypass.

At the end of this workshop, the participant will be able to:
* Demonstrate how an extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) machine works and explain different ECMO techniques.
* Demonstrate how ventricular assist devices (VAD) work and how they may be applied to different clinical scenarios.
* Discuss the anesthetic implications of ECMO and VAD.

At the end of this workshop, the participant will be able to:
* Analyze the normal and abnormal heart with a systematic approach.
* Illustrate this systematic approach during dissection of a heart.

At the end of this workshop, the participant will be able to:
* Demonstrate how to use a temporary pacemaker.
* Identify different ICDs and their clinical implications for perioperative management.

At the end of this session, the participant will be able to:
* Evaluate new research findings pertinent to the practice of congenital cardiac anesthesia.
* Discuss these findings with experts in congenital cardiac anesthesiology.
