In partnership with Dell Medical School at the University of Texas, Dell Children's Medical Center is dedicated to an integrated mission of transforming healthcare delivery and redesigning the academic health environment to better serve society. This collaboration provides patients and families with a team of highly specialized providers who are at the forefront of the latest research, diagnostic, and technological developments. With two hospitals and over 90 specialty care locations across the region, Dell Children's is a destination for all levels of pediatric care in the Austin area, 46 surrounding counties and beyond.
The mission of the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease at Dell Children's Medical Center is to redesign the care of patients and families with congenital heart disease by developing a model system of health delivery that is integrated, holistic, patient-centered, value oriented and technology driven. The multidisciplinary, multispecialty team is capable of treating even the most rare and complex cardiac conditions. Patients are surrounded with the highest level of expertise at all times to ensure best outcomes. The meticulous attention to detail provides safe and effective care to even the tiniest, most complex patients as well as adults with congenital heart disease. |

Ochsner Hospital for Children ranked among the top 50 children's hospitals in the United States for pediatric cardiology and heart surgery by U.S. News & World Report and forms the backbone of our pediatric center.
We are the only facility in Louisiana that offers pediatric heart transplantation and ventricular assist devices. Our transplant and VAD program is active with ages ranging from infants to teenagers. In New Orleans we service a 54-bed Level III-C NICU and a 26 bed PICU.
We have an extensive Louisiana and Mississippi referral network and are actively expanding our network with satellite clinics around the area. We also have a robust adult congenital heart population in the surrounding area, one of the many lasting legacies left by Dr. John Ochsner. |
